ADDITIONAL HOME CARE - IMPLANT CROWN
- FIRST DAY: Wait until the numbness wears off before eating. If the crown was screwed in, the small hole on top may have a tooth-colored filling.
- CLEANING: Clean your implant crown like a natural tooth: brush twice a day and floss once a day. Use the floss, threader, or small brush we showed you around the gum line.
- BITE: If your bite feels high or the crown feels loose or clicks, call the office at 661-857-7662. Do not wait — a loose crown can damage the implant screw.
- HARD FOODS AND GRINDING: Avoid chewing ice or very hard foods on the implant crown. If you grind your teeth at night, ask us about a night guard.
- WARNING SIGNS: Call us if the gum around the implant is red, tender, or bleeds when you brush. These can be early signs of implant gum disease.
- CHECK-UPS: Keep your regular cleanings and check-ups so we can check the implant and the bone around it.
