This website, noadental.net, is run by Jin Young Kim D.D.S., Inc., doing business as Noa Dental, a dental practice at 23922 Summerhill Lane, Valencia, CA 91354. In this policy, "we," "us," and "our" mean Jin Young Kim D.D.S., Inc., dba Noa Dental. This policy covers this website and the internal tool described in the "Google user data" section below. It does not cover the care we give you in the office — see "Your health information" for that.
The only place this website asks you to type information is the appointment request form (also shown on our home page). The form asks for:
We use this only to contact you about your appointment request. When you submit the form, a third-party form service, FormSubmit, receives what you typed and forwards it to our office email. We do not run a patient account or login system on this website.
Please do not include health details, insurance numbers, or other sensitive information in the form. We will ask about your dental needs by phone or at your visit. Information you send through the form is handled by FormSubmit and delivered to our office email before it reaches us.
If you tap a phone number or text link on the site, your phone opens its own calling or messaging app. We do not receive your number or message from the website when you do this.
Do Not Track and cross-site tracking. Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. This website does not currently respond to those signals. Google, as the provider of Google Analytics, Maps, and Fonts, may collect information about your online activities over time and across different websites when you use our site.
In short: we use a private, internal tool to read the reviews on Noa Dental's own Google Business Profile, for our own record keeping. We do not use that information for advertising, and we do not sell it or give it to others.
Noa Dental uses an internal tool, "NOA Workspace Reviews," that connects to the Google Business Profile API. It is not a public app and website visitors are never asked to sign in with Google. An authorized person at Noa Dental signs in to the clinic's Google account and gives the tool permission to use the Google scope https://www.googleapis.com/auth/business.manage.
What the tool receives and what it keeps. To find our listing, the tool reads our Google account and location identifiers. It then receives each review on our own Business Profile as Google provides it, which includes the reviewer's display name and profile photo link, the star rating, the review text, the review date, and our reply, if any. The tool keeps only: the review's ID, the reviewer's display name (or "Anonymous"), the review date, the star rating, whether we have replied, and the date of our reply. It does not keep the review text, our reply text, or the profile photo link; the reply is used only to see whether a reply exists and is then discarded. It also records the total review count Google reports.
How we use it. We use this information only to keep an internal record of our reviews: a list of reviews with their dates, ratings, and reply status, and a monthly count of new reviews for our internal practice reports. The tool only reads. Although the permission Google grants for this kind of tool also allows changes, our tool never posts, edits, replies to, or deletes reviews or anything else on our Business Profile.
Who can see it. The review list is stored in our internal staff workspace, which requires a staff login, and only staff whom the clinic has authorized can view it. Noa Dental, as the owner of the Google account that granted access, has approved this staff viewing. We do not sell this information, and we do not transfer it to anyone else, except in the limited cases Google's policy allows: to provide the tool's features with the account owner's consent, for security purposes (for example, investigating abuse), to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets after obtaining explicit prior consent. We do not use it to show ads, including personalized or interest-based ads, and we do not use it to decide anyone's creditworthiness. Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Where it is kept, for how long, and how to stop it. Review records are stored on a server at our office, inside our internal staff workspace, which requires a staff login. The tool's Google access credential is stored encrypted on that server. We keep review records until we delete them or the clinic stops using the tool; we do not have a fixed deletion schedule. The Google account that gave permission can remove the tool's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Reviewers who want their review changed or removed can do so on Google; to ask us to delete the copy we hold, contact us using the details below.
This policy is about this website. Health information we hold as your dental provider is handled under our Notice of Privacy Practices, as required by HIPAA. You can read it here: Notice of Privacy Practices (PDF, 5 pages). You can also ask for a paper copy at the office or by phone.
We share information from this website only with the service providers named above (Google and FormSubmit), who help us run the site and receive appointment requests, and when the law requires it. We do not sell the information you submit through this website. Review data from Google is covered in the Google user data section above.
This website is meant for adults, including parents and guardians booking care for a child. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information through the site.
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the effective date above. If we change how we use Google user data, we will update this policy and ask the Google account owner to agree to the updated policy before we use the data in the new way or for a different purpose.
